Responsibilities: 

As a Django/Python software engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing our products and client applications.  As an integral part of our core platform project, you will: 

  • Define and expand features with the Product team. 
  • Develop new product features by adapting and expanding our platform. 
  • Integrate new technologies to enhance the platform. 
  • Act as a bridge between platform and data tasks. 
  • Collaborate with the team to comprehend and implement requirements. 
  • Identify and address technical debt. 
  • Enhance platform performance and scalability. 
  • Review and offer constructive feedback on code written by fellow team members. 
  • Develop high-quality Python software, mainly using Django. 
  • Prioritise and execute tasks in the development life cycle. 
  • Create internal tools and applications as needed. 
  • Maintain existing features and libraries. 
  • Monitor systems throughout their lifecycle. 
  • Document development phases. 
  • Collaborate with teams and vendors to enhance products. 
  • Conduct software testing. 
  • Automate tasks using appropriate tools and scripting.

Core Skills: 

  • Excel in creating maintainable, secure and efficient code that aligns with product and project specifications. 
  • Work with other teams to design, develop, and deliver top-quality software that meets user needs, enhances their experience, and aligns with our business goals.   
  • Be confident developing features and working solo on some tasks. 

 

Qualifications: 

PCPP1 or above accreditation is a bonus.
