To kick off 2022, we have moved into Exeter Science Park’s new net-zero carbon space, The George Parker Bidder Building.
The outstanding view across the Devonshire countryside isn’t the only perk of working here. We are also part of a high-growth community of innovative technology and science companies. We find ourselves in one of the prime locations in the UK dedicated to scientific advancement, with Exeter named one of three cities likely to become leading UK tech hubs.
Our office doubles as a research and prototyping space, with our staff having access to many resources and technologies to conduct their work.
The new building is named after STEMM icon and civil engineer George Parker Bidder. Born in Moretonhampstead on the edge of Dartmoor in 1806, George later rose to become the President of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Despite receiving little formal education, George’s remarkable gift for memorising and manipulating large numbers in his head at a young age saw him showcased at local fairs as the ‘Calculating Boy’. Years later, he led a successful career as a civil engineer, contributing to the planning and construction of railways including the London & Birmingham Railway.
We welcome guests and visitors to our offices by appointment. If you wish to pay us a visit, please get in touch by email or telephone.
